Major Influences

The deepest influence on Lost Shadow’s song writing has been Love Rönnelid. Johan’s father Janne has also been a source of inspiration, and of course Anna Marklund who led the children’s choir.

Artist Influences

First of all Era and Sash! who initiated Lost Shadow’s pop writing. Then the Pet Shop Boys who are the group that has by far influenced Lost Shadow’s music the most. Then we have Enigma who had a big influence during the years 2001 to 2002. Robert Miles first record “Dreamland” has been a source of inspiration on “Earth Is Dead – New World Rising”. Beginning with “One”, Peter Gabriel has had a big influence on Lost Shadow’s music. Lyrically William Blake has been a source for texts and Leonard Cohen has inspired a lot, especially on the later albums.
