Tuesday Morning
(Johan Bengtsson)
On saturday night he sleeps with this girl called Niaga
And wakes up six hours later
Realizing he’s been unfaithful to his wife
Who he then remembers he’s already separated from
Two minutes later he’s on the way down to the bus stop
Still regretting what he did last night
While seated on the bus he falls asleep
And misses the right place to get off
So he has to walk back the last two blocks of the street
Monday morning he has already forgotten
The events of the weekend
He’s still trying to figure out how to sell worthless cars
To people with too little money
Tuesday night he dreams about the unborn child
He’s always wanted in secret
And wanders off to the stars
Accompanied by a two hundred heads orchestra
Playing the “Ode to Joy”
Wednesday he wakes up all sweaty
And wonders where all his dreams disappeared
And then throws his garbage
In a container close to the nearby liquor store
Totally unaware that Iraq has been attacked
In the name of freedom
Thursday and Friday passes quite unnoticed
But at least he catches up the news about the attack
Friday night he happens to see Niaga in a bar
But he turns around and decides to go somewhere else
He turns around and decides to go somewhere else
Saturday morning he wakes up having a terrible hangover
He tries to drink a lot of water but his head still hurts
Late afternoon he watches the football game on TV
Alone
Sunday afternoon he spends playing cards
With some friends from the school days
He finds it funnier than he thought to meet them again
But still he walks home alone
Monday morning he has already forgotten
The events of the weekend
He’s still trying to figure out how to sell worthless cars
To people with too little money
On Tuesday morning he wakes up
Totally blind
