Time to break the long silence… I spent last Friday in the studio, which was the longest continuous time I have spent in the studio in months. And productivity was all over! A new EP has been recorded, which will soon see the light of day. More details to follow during next week. Stay tuned!

I have spent most of the last two weeks in the studio, finishing the new album. Now, there is only a few things left to record, and the album has started going into the mixing stage. All in all, it seems that we can look forward to a September release date, with a new single being released slightly before that. I have had a fantastic week in the studio, finishing four songs for the new album, due for release this Autumn, as well as completing a Laurie Anderson remix (voting is still open). If my voice permits (I have had a terrible cold for more than two weeks, that ruined all voice recording attempts) I will record vocals for the new single, which will be released in June. More news on that soon.

We’re celebrating one year with the new site at www.phonocratic.com! Sadly, there is not much other news. Lost Shadow is currently working in the studio on songs for the new album, hopefully to be released later this year. Stay tuned!

Today, Phonocratic Mobile is closed, after more than two and a half year serving Phonocratic Records mobile needs. Also, the old studio PowerMac G4 is thrown out, after acting strange for the last year. Instead, I have installed new studio hardware, allowing better recording quality, both in the actual studio and for mobile purposes. And parts of this new studio is also very much portable. From this date, all recordings done using this equipment will be referred to as recorded at Phonocratic Records, which once again becomes the only recording studio for the label. Phonocratic Mastering remains intact, as of now.

The first recordings with the new studio equipment was made this morning, and it sounds great! Soon instrumentals for the entire Lost Shadow collection due for release in November will be completed. Stay tuned for even greater sounds!
