Phonocratic Records

Today, Phonocratic Mobile is closed, after more than two and a half year serving Phonocratic Records mobile needs. Also, the old studio PowerMac G4 is thrown out, after acting strange for the last year. Instead, I have installed new studio hardware, allowing better recording quality, both in the actual studio and for mobile purposes. And parts of this new studio is also very much portable. From this date, all recordings done using this equipment will be referred to as recorded at Phonocratic Records, which once again becomes the only recording studio for the label. Phonocratic Mastering remains intact, as of now.

The first recordings with the new studio equipment was made this morning, and it sounds great! Soon instrumentals for the entire Lost Shadow collection due for release in November will be completed. Stay tuned for even greater sounds!

Today I finished (I think) the arranging part of the last song for the forthcoming Lost Shadow collection album. I will start the recordings as soon as possible, so still everything seems to be perfectly on time for a November release date. Stay tuned for the first new single, which will be release in advance of the album!

Sorry for the long time without any news. However, this time no news is good news, everything is going great! As you might know there is ten years since the first Lost Shadow recording was released (the Lost and Found single) this Autumn. This will be celebrated with an album containing songs from all these years, slightly rearranged and refined. This album is scheduled for release in November (the same month as the Lost and Found single was released ten years ago). My primary focus has been to get this album ready, and the recording for it will begin very shortly to be finished during October.

I have also spent some studio time on making songs for a new Lost Shadow album, which will be finished some time next year. For now, this is all I can tell about this new production, but expect an exciting Lost Shadow Autumn, and an exciting Lost Shadow year in 2010.

I spent a few hours in the studio today, looking through old material. As some might know it will be ten years since the first Lost Shadow single (Lost and Found) was recorded this Autumn. This might be celebrated in some way, and I have been going through some of my old favorites. We’ll see if it gets somewhere.

At the moment I am very busy with other things, but I plan on spending a large part of the Summer finishing and continuing different music projects. Stay tuned!
